This passion evolved during his early years as a Lead Photographer with the Mathrubhumi Group, where he contributed to distinguished publications across sports, news, fashion, celebrity, and travel - including Star & Style, Grihalakshmi, Yatra, Mathrubhumi Weekly, and Sports magazine. These experiences shaped his deep sensitivity to human stories and authentic expression.

In 2008, Anand expanded his horizons internationally, working across the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean with Carnival Cruise Lines as a portrait and wedding photographer.

During this time, he documented weddings and portraits across diverse cultures throughout North America, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean - enriching his perspective and storytelling depth.

After establishing his own venture, SL Anand Photography, in 2010, he built a brand synonymous with creative storytelling and immersive photography experiences.

His work has been recognized with the prestigious Kodak Better Photography Wedding Photographer of the Year Award in 2011.

His global presence continued to grow with expansions into Dubai in 2015 and Toronto in 2019, alongside acclaimed destination wedding projects across the USA, Europe, the Middle East, Thailand, Malaysia, and Canada.

Extending his vision beyond photography, Anand founded SmileBees — a new generation of photographers mentored under his unique, time-tested methodology.
